Angelina.jpgAngelina Chamblee
Office Manager

Angelina spent 26 years in Reno, Nevada before she moved to the Mountain Meadows area. With eight natural and manmade lakes surrounding the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Tahoe area she enjoyed her time fishing, camping and hiking. Over ten years ago a project was proposed to build a freeway connecting Reno to Carson City. When the project began she started taking photographs to preserve the images of the land that was to be destroyed. Part of the freeway has been built over an ancient tribal burial ground. Since then, she has been driven to help preserve the environment and historical landmarks.

She came to Westwood in 2008, and adores the area. "I love the fresh mountain air and all the beauty that surrounds us. It is wonderful waking up in the morning to bird songs rather than a siren in a city". In the past she has worked in the medical field and wanted to be a part of something bigger that would connect her with nature again. She loves working for Mountain Meadows Conservancy and learning new things about the environment. Currently she is enrolled in Lassen Community College working toward a Business Degree.

Nils.jpgNils Lunder

Project Coordinator

Nils grew up in Westwood and spent his youth enjoying the richness that the Mountain Meadows region supports.  He studied Environmental Science at Humboldt State University where he received a Bachelors of Science in 2001.  During the decade that has passed he has been busy building his homestead ranch in Indian Valley with his wife Lindsey and now with their two sons Adin and Jura.  Nils has worked as a Wildlife Biologist studying Carnivores, Goshawks, Owls and Grebes.  He has been involved with stream restoration projects in this region and has worked as a Fisheries Biologist.  His aquatic work has taken him throughout the Feather River Watershed, The Yuba, Bear, American, Consumnes, and Stanislaus River Watersheds, as well as the upper Klamath River and Deer Creek. He has also worked on organic farms and in residential and landscape construction.  Nils hopes that he can help facilitate the restoration of his homeland and contribute to the long term viability of the communities that exist within the Upper Feather River Watershed.
